Supplemental Insurance

Dental Insurance

For a robust PPO plan with a large network and high annual limits, I’d suggest Starmount PPO Dental

For a lower cost PPO option where you can choose any dentist and get reimbursed per service, check out National General

For the ever-popular Delta Dental PPO plans, click on Delta Dental PPO / VSP vision

Here are two lower-cost HMO dental plans (with fewer dentists in network)

Accident Insurance

If you have a Bronze plan ($7,000 max-out-of-pocket in 2018), you need to get an inexpensive supplement plan that pays that deductible for you in case you injure yourself in any kind of accident.

You can get this through National General Accidental

For $22.50/month, your full out-of-pocket maximum of $7,000 would be met (with only a $50 deductible) in the event of an accidental injury.

Or you can get an accident plan through CalStar
